We had been to Rome several times before we met Silvia and I can comfortably say that we did not fully experience its true glamour and history until we toured it with her.
Her knowledge of the historic sights and their significance is astounding.
The way she tells a story, she conveys an experience, she describes an event, takes you back and makes one feel that they are actually seeing Rome at that time and at that moment.

We had the opportunity to tour Vatican City with Silvia and our twin children who were only 10 years old then. We thought that they would not last an entire day and for this reason initially booked only 1/2 a day with her. We ended up spending 6 hours with her and not a complaint was heard. Silvia kept all of us so engaged, especially the twins, that we did not want our tour to end, and in fact changed our itinerary to stay there longer and booked two additional days with her. The following year, the kids insisted that we return to Rome when traveling through Europe so that we could spend at least one day with her. Her Knowledge and the way she conveys it, is truly captivating. To this day, when we plan our summer trips to Europe the kids insist that we make Rome one of our destinations and spend time touring the city with her.

Thank you Silvia for enriching our lives!

There are no finer people in Rome who can bring the history and culture of that great city alive as well as Francesco and Sylvia.
They treat their clients like family and are both well trained and professional in making certain that a visitors short time in Rome is well spent. My wife and I were delighted to meet Francesco and Sylvia and to learn from them about the fascinating history of the city they love.

We highly recommend them for anyone touring Rome and its environs.

Dear Silvia,
my family of 15 wants to thank you again for such an unforgettable tour of the Papal Gardens, Museum and Vatican.
You took such good care of us and went out of your way to accommodate my elderly parents and two additional family members not originally accounted for.

Your knowledge of the sites we visited was exceptional.

I will gladly refer you to anyone inquiring a need for a tour guide of Rome.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.
Silvia’s patience, knowledge, and ability to tell a cohesive story helped ancient Rome come alive for us.
Without Silvia’s help, we would have seen the Colosseum as simply an ancient ruin. She helped us to envision the crowds of spectators, the gladiators, and the animals. Similarly, the Forum came alive for us.

She helped put all of these sites into context and made our experience very meaningful.

We are only sorry that time did not permit us from visiting the Vatican Museums together. It’s on our agenda for our next trip.

We visited Italy with our teenage children, and one of the highlights was spending two fantastic days with Dr. Silvia Frangipane. With Silvia, we toured the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Vatican Museums/Sistine Chapel, Papal Gardens (don't miss this), and St. Peter's Basilica.

Silvia is a lovely and thoughtful person, who instantly felt like family.

She is incredibly knowledgeable, and shared facts and stories which kept all of us fascinated. She tailored our tours perfectly, allowing the ideal amount of time at each location, and arranged for us to walk to the front of the huge lines of tourists.

Silvia made us feel like Royalty!

Silvia is an outstanding tour guide.
We engaged her to tour the Sistine chapel and the Vatican collection and were thrilled with her. Not only were we able to avoid the lines and skirt around crowds, but were able to focus on the things we were most interested in, and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Her knowledge of Art, Art History, and Rome itself is unparalleled in both breadth and depth, and made the tour an exceptionally enriching experience.

We have been to the Vatican a number of times, but have never enjoyed such insight, or had such an appreciation for the collection.
We have also recommended Silvia to friends who engaged her to guide them through Villa D’Este, Hadrian’s Villa, and the Roman Forum and all have given her glowing, rave reviews.

There are many tour guides in Rome. I am sure that many of them are quite good, but there are none better than Silvia Frangipane.

It is my pleasure to give her an unqualified recommendation and reference.

Silvia did a fabulous job of highlighting and explaining the key points of interest we visited in the 2 days she spent with us.
Her knowledge and passion of what she was sharing with my family of 8 was very informative and kept us all very interested at all times. We would never have appreciated the history and events of Rome as well as we did without Silvia. And she did so in a fun way - very pleasant to be with.

Look forward to returning to Rome and spending more time again with Silvia!

It was our first family visit to Rome and we were very fortunate to have Silvia's help and guidance.
Silvia helped us choose our tours based on the length of our stay, our interests, and the age of our two daughters.

Not only do you save time on figuring out where to go and when, what is open or what is not, or what is most important to see in a limited time, but most importantly you see Rome through the eyes of an expert, a true representative of the city.

Silvia's knowledge in art and history is so broad and precise that she is able to explain some complex concepts or historical key moments with ease and total clarity breaking it down and bringing it to your particular level of familiarity with the topic. We felt incredibly enriched by Silvia's tours and friendly explanations and felt that we learned not only about Rome and its particular monuments but that we enhanced our understanding of major historical and art developments.

We could feel Silvia's passion for Rome.

It is also very special to hear about the history of Rome and Vatican from someone whose Family (Frangipane) is a part of history.

We are really looking forward to going back to Rome and meeting with Silvia again!

Dr. Silvia Frangipane made our trip to the Vatican and Rome an unforgettable experience. Her knowledge and love of historical art, especially that of Michelangelo, shone through as she explained the significance of the Sistine Chapel and art throughout our tour. She maximized our time and we were able to see more with her help than we would have on our own.
We are looking forward to another trip to Rome and will be calling on Silvia to help us see more of this wonderful city.

We truly loved having her as our tour guide!

Francesco,
we still have many fond memories of our wonderful day together with you touring the Vatican, il Collosseo, and Pantheon!

You did a great job of sharing your endless knowledge and tailoring it to our interests.

As mature and experienced travelers, we enjoyed your low-key but indepth approach and explanation of such a vast amount of historical information. Your friendliness and passion for Rome and it's history made for an exciting experience and great investment in our time and money.

We hope to be able to tour with you again on our next visit to Rome!

Silvia,

just a quick note to thank you again for our wonderful time together in Roma.
We feel very fortunate that we could spend the time with you at the Colosseum and at Vatican and the special morning in the gardens. A treat!

Both our girls were so complementary of your stories and explanations. It is sometimes difficult to hold young girls attention (other than shopping!) and they both mentioned at dinner last night that they felt you made the Vatican come alive!

You are an excellent guide and we are very happy we had the chance to spend time with you.

Until we meet again, thank you!

Thought I should write a quick review of our wonderful tour guide in Rome.
We only had one day to explore the sights and, on the recommendation of friends, booked Dr. Silvia Frangipane, a licensed tour guide. Silvia took us through the Roman Forum, Colosseum, the (amazing)Pantheon, a Jesuit church with the most incredible ceiling, the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica.

She was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating.

We didn't have a lot of background knowledge to begin with and she made history incredibly interesting and understandable. Silvia is one of the Vatican's regular tour guides (and was looking forward to an upcoming tour with the Church's newly ordained bishops).

We really felt that exploring Rome's incredible buildings with her greatly enhanced our experience and was money well spent.
